About Us

The Bay Cup is a non-profit organization that coordinates a circuit of fencing tournaments and clinics within the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

The Bay Cup spans three divisions within USA Fencing: Northern California, Central California, and Mountain Valley. Bay Cup tournaments are hosted by fencing clubs  from Santa Cruz to Santa Rosa to Sacramento.

The Bay Cup coordinates the creation, scheduling, and assignment of tournaments. The tournaments are run by host clubs and sanctioned by the divisions. The Bay Cup promotes tournament guidelines and standards to provide everyone with a positive and rewarding tournament experience. The Bay Cup also promotes these events, tracks results and points standings, and coordinates medals and awards for the tournaments throughout the season.

The Bay Cup uses a rolling point system to display standings within each series during the season. Final standings are calculated at the end of the season. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each series after the end-of-season rankings are determined.

The Bay Cup is dedicated to making the tournament experience a positive one for everyone involved. We welcome any feedback you might have. You are encouraged to provide general feedback to host clubs, to The Bay Cup, and to the Divisions with any comments about your positive Bay Cup experiences or any other constructive criticism or recommendations. If you feel that a host club’s management or operation of a tournament did not follow Bay Cup guidelines, you are encouraged to provide feedback to The Bay Cup. Feedback concerning possible USA Fencing rules infractions should be directed to the USA Fencing Division for the host club.
